Obtain Forecast from Incident Meteorologist or Fire Weather Forecaster The weather observer may need to take the initiative to verify that the information is being passed up the line. Don’t assume that weather observations are automatically being received by the proper users. Provide written documentation of weather observations to the fireline supervisor, situation unit, incident meteorologist, or the local weather forecast office. Report measurements with trends, i.e., Temperature: 75°, up 5º degrees from last hour.Follow instructions for periodic radio reports to fireline supervisors and/or incident communications unit.
Make sure that current observations are reported verbally over the radio to ensure situational awareness. Check the batteries.Ĭommunicate and Document the Weather ObservationĪccurate weather observation is of little use unless it is properly communicated in a timely fashion to those who need it.
Electronic temperature and humidity sensors should be calibrated regularly against weather instruments of reliable accuracy. Record whether the observations were made with an electronic weather sensor or traditional sling psychrometer. Avoid observations affected by gusty indraft breezes and radiant heat from the fireline.
#EASY WEATHER READING SERIES#
The ESP32 series of chips is created and developed by Espressif Systems and is manufactured by TSMC using their 40 nm process. It and includes in-built antenna switches, RF balun, power amplifier, low-noise receive amplifier, filters, and power management modules as well. The ESP32 series employs either a Tensilica Xtensa LX6, Xtensa LX7 or a RiscV processor, and both dual-core and single-core variations are available. ESP32 is a series of low cost, low power system on a chip microcontrollers with integrated Wi-Fi and dual-mode Bluetooth.
